The PstBet NFA Cup Round of 16 draw that took place in Windhoek featured some intriguing matchups this coming weekend.

The flagship competition started with 231 teams involved in the playoffs in all 14 regions of the country until it reached the Round of 32, in which the Premier leagues were included.

The Round of 32 was concluded over the weekend to arrive at the Round of 16 set to take place this coming weekend.

The draw was preceded by a speech from the sponsor PSTBET's executive.

The highlight of the draw is set to be the duel between Orlando Pirates and African Stars in which the relegated Orlando Pirates will be up for revenge against the team that relegated them from the country's top league two weeks ago.

Okahandja United will battle against Julinho Sporting with their eyes firmly looking to reach the Round of 8, while Eeshoke Chula Chula's match against UNAM will be used by both teams to settle the score following their recent 2-all draw in the league.

Civics, being the last team to win the competition, last in 2021, will try to go all the way again when they take on Tigers, another equally good team with a good record in past knockout competitions.

Young African have been drawn against Young Brazilians in the showdown of the youngs, with relegated Life Fighters hoping to leave the top flight with a cup, but first they have to see if they will pass through Oryza Sativa, a team from Katima Mulilo who plays in the second division.

The Ongos and Khomas NAMPOL match in the Round of 16 can swing either way if their current form is anything to rely on.

Ohangwena-based First Division side Further Fighters, who are fighting tooth and nail to survive relegation, have been the surprise of the competition, winning their matches with ease, including a 2-0 win over Okakarara Young Warriors at the weekend.

Next in their way is Mighty Gunners.
