The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) held a training workshop on cybersecurity awareness to equip media practitioners with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape securely.

The training , titled "Provisional Agenda on Cybersecurity," underscored the importance of understanding and mitigating cyber threats that are increasingly prevalent in today's interconnected world.

The initiative is not just about protecting organisational data but also empowering individuals to safeguard their personal information online.

MICT's commitment to cybersecurity extends beyond this training session, as it aligns with the ministry's broader strategy to foster a secure digital environment while promoting responsible online practices among its employees.

The ministry plans to integrate ongoing cybersecurity education and awareness into its operational framework, ensuring sustained readiness against cyber threats.

The agenda covered a wide range of topics essential for cybersecurity awareness, including identifying common cyber threats, understanding vulnerabilities in digital environments, and implementing preventive measures.

Participants engaged in practical sessions focusing on recognising phishing attempts, managing cybersecurity incidents, and building resilience against potential attacks.

Practical strategies were learned to stay safe online and how to respond effectively if faced with a cyberattack.

As organisations increasingly rely on digital platforms for operations and communication, cybersecurity awareness training serves as a critical step in safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining trust in the digital realm.
