The Namibia Rugby Premier League witnessed an upset as Kudus, the Walvis Bay outfit, secured a narrow 15-20 victory over defending champions United at Gemsbok Park.

The match began with a slow start, with neither team gaining significant early territory.

However, the deadlock was broken by the hosts, United, as outside center Jandre Esterhuizen crossed the try line for a converted score 7 points courtesy of scrum-half Hanreco van Zyl.

Kudus responded swiftly, with Suramie Kambombo scoring a try 7 points to level the score. Just before halftime, United regained the lead through a try from prop Johann Brockman, converted by van Zyl for a 12-7 shoreline.

The second half mirrored the first, with both teams exchanging points. Kudus first equalized at 12-12, before van Zyl slotted a penalty for United.

Fly-half Kyle Wentzel then converted a penalty for Kudus to level the score once again at 15-15.

The game-winning moment arrived in the closing stages when Kudus lock Tertius Arangies dotted down for a crucial try. The conversion attempt was unsuccessful, but the score remained 15-20 in Kudus' favor, securing their victory as the final whistle blew.

Elsewhere, Rehoboth edged past the Northern giants 20-19 in a tightly contested match in !Anes.
