Namibia took part in the 67th meeting of the United Nations Tourism Regional Commission for Africa and the Second United Nations Tourism Regional Conference on Brand Africa, held in Zambia. 

Representing Namibia, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Tourism Board contributed to the discussions by sharing Namibia's perspective on the importance of branding Africa as a tourist destination and exploring ways to increase investment in the tourism sector. 

Bonnie Mbidzo noted that the conference presents an excellent opportunity for stakeholders and experts in the industry to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing African tourism. 

He said Namibia looks forward to sharing its success stories and learning from other countries to identify new strategies for growth and development in the tourism sector. 

The conference aims to provide a platform for African countries to showcase their unique tourism products and experiences. 

The meeting also discussed ways to address challenges facing the sector, such as infrastructure development, marketing and promotion, and sustainability.

The conference was held under the theme "Promoting Africa to Unlock Tourism Investments and the Sector's Growth Potential".
