Capricorn Group has extended its partnership with the Senior National Women's Cricket Team, the Capricorn Eagles, for another two years.

Speaking at the sponsorship extension for Women's Cricket, Cricket Namibia CEO Johan Muller expressed satisfaction with the partnership's positive impact on the sport.

Muller emphasized that the over three-year partnership has contributed to the growth of women's cricket and thanked Capricorn Group for both financial support and their connection with the sport. 

He highlighted the partnership's role in empowering women through cricket.

Marlize Horn, Group Executive for Brand & Corporate Affairs and Head of Capricorn Foundation, reaffirmed the company's commitment to the partnership with Cricket Namibia.

Horn emphasized Capricorn Group's support for the Namibia National Women's Cricket Team, the Capricorn Eagles, and their dedication to advancing girls' and women's cricket in Namibia.

Newly appointed Capricorn Eagles captain Suné Wittman expressed gratitude to Capricorn Group for their continued support.

Capricorn Group announced a N$300 000 annual sponsorship for the next two years at the event, bringing the total investment to N$600 000. 

This follows the sponsorship of the Under-19 Capricorn Eagles in June.

Cricket Namibia's strategic vision for Women's Cricket in Namibia aims to professionalize the women's game, support players, and grow junior structures through participation.
