The critical role of climate technology, water infrastructure, and research in the development of green hydrogen industries was highlighted during the inaugural Global African Hydrogen Summit in Windhoek.

Discussions on the prospects of green hydrogen and its potential for the African continent have been the centre of discussion at the summit.

Namibia leads the discussion as well as the implementation of green hydrogen technology on the continent.

Creating an enabling environment in policy and legislation, as well as investment into research, are but some avenues that need to be continuously explored for successful implementation.

Several African countries, among them South Africa and Tanzania, are putting strategies in place to explore green energies.
