The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has inaugurated an N$11 million service centre at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region.
The establishment of the MVA office in the region is aimed at bringing services closer to the people and subsequently preserving and protecting lives on the road.
Deputy Prime Minister John Mutorwa stressed that the purpose of the MVA office is to provide service without fail.
Mutorwa noted that despite the low number of road accidents in the Zambezi Region, the fatality rate is too high, hence the construction of the office.
He is hopeful that the centre is going to be a beacon of support for residents, visitors, tourists, and other travellers.
MVA Fund CEO, Rosalia Martins-Hausiku, is happy that the many years of deliberation have finally paid off, adding that it is a milestone in serving road accident victims and their families.
