The Open Singles Darts Competition held in Walvis Bay over the weekend attracted several talented players from Windhoek, Swakopmund, and Walvis Bay.
The event was organized to showcase darting talent and featured intense competition as participants battled for the top position.
The competition, which began on Friday, featured 18 players competing in a round-robin format, all vying for a place in Saturday's top 16.
The atmosphere over the weekend was electric, with players demonstrating precision and skill in a series of closely contested matches.
The 16 players who advanced to day two competed fiercely for a place in the quarterfinals, followed by the semi-finals, played in a first-to-six legs format.
The two semi-finals featured Quinton Mouton facing off against Garvin Theren, while Sakaria Mwahaluka went head-to-head with Roger Boon in the other match.
After Mouton and Mwahaluka won their respective semi-finals, it was time for the final, played in a first-to-eight legs format.
Mouton was in a league of his own, never giving Mwahaluka a chance to take the lead at any point in the match.
Mouton won decisively with a score of 8-2, claiming the grand prize of N$6,000.00.
The final marked a successful conclusion to a highly competitive and entertaining event.
The tournament also aimed to continue fostering interest in darts within the Walvis Bay community.
