National Assembly Spokesperson Sakeus Kadhikwa has reaffirmed Parliament's commitment to enhancing public engagement and transparency in the legislative process.

Speaking during an interview on nbc's Inside the Chambers programme, Kadhikwa stressed the importance of public involvement in shaping the country's laws and policies.

Kadhikwa emphasised that Parliament operates with an open-door policy, where the public can engage through multiple platforms to ensure that their voices are heard.

"We always engage the public on various platforms, which is actually a targeted mission or objective we aim to achieve next year by going out in full force to ensure the general public understands how to approach parliament and bring their concerns forward."

Parliamentary oversight visits, which started on Sunday, will take place in the ||Kharas, Hardap, Erongo, and Omaheke regions.

Kadhikwa described these visits as critical for lawmakers to directly interact with the public.

Although Parliament is currently on recess, legislative work continues.
