Botswana's Minister of Transport, Eric Muthibi Molale, has called for speedy completion of the Trans-Kalahari railway line and the Trans-Kalahari road project.
He made this remark during a visit to the Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa in Windhoek.
The Trans-Kalahari Railway Project is a bilateral initiative between Botswana and Namibia, aimed at enhancing transportation services and improving road safety conditions.
The project's primary objective is to establish a heavy-haul railway line linking the two countries, facilitating the transportation of coal and other commodities.
The purpose of the recent visit was for both countries to update one another on the progress of the project in light of upcoming elections.
Molale emphasised the need to review and adjust certain aspects of the existing Memorandum of Understanding.
Namibia's Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa, stressed that the primary focus is on the Trans-Kalahari Railway Project as a key bilateral undertaking of strategic importance.
