The Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) embarked on a leadership training seminar aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities among key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors.
The event featured interactive discussions and presentations by prominent leadership experts and practitioners who shared insights on effective leadership practices in the modern age.
NIPAM's acting Executive Director, Rebekka Kakololo, underscored the importance of equipping leaders with the skills to navigate the rapidly changing social and economic landscape of Namibia.
"It's a call for leadership, and the main topic that is covered is leadership pain, because as a leader you need to go through these discomforts and challenges, and we should be prepared to embrace that so that we save our institutions and also our citizens in terms of service delivery."
Participants had the opportunity to engage in a range of leadership topics, including ethical governance, conflict resolution, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
World-recognised leadership expert Max Moyo presented leadership as a catalyst in human transformation.
"We are talking to 150 leaders from government institutions because the service delivery and service delivery come from leadership; without leadership, the people don't get the service that they need, and so we've come to empower the leaders so when they go back they can even lead better, and there we should see the level of service improvement."
The seminar gathered representatives from various government departments, private companies, non-profit organisations, and educational institutions.
