Namibia will host the eleventh session of the intergovernmental science-policy platform on biodiversity and ecosystems services (IPBES) from the 10th to the 16th of December.
The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism says this underscores the country's growing role as a leader in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
It says the event will provide Namibia with the unique opportunity to showcase its leadership in sustainable practices and biodiversity conservation.
The outcome of this meeting is expected to influence global conservation policies, guide integrated approaches to tackle climate change and biodiversity challenges, and show how countries like Namibia can secure a sustainable future.
