The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has launched its WhatsApp consumer assistant and a revamped website to improve its consumer engagement.
CRAN's chief executive officer, Emilia Nghikembua, says the regulator must ensure that every citizen has simple access to information about their rights, the regulatory framework governing the information and communication technology space, as well as the services offered by CRAN.
The WhatsApp consumer assistant gives customers a platform where they can lodge complaints and general queries about telecommunications services, licenses, and regulations.
The website is more user-friendly and provides timely information on regulatory changes, new initiatives, and developments.
