The death of Jogobeth Gawa!nas, who was murdered at Swakopmund on Saturday, has left the family broken.
Gawa!nas body was discovered in a pool of blood at home on Saturday morning in Swakopmund.
The mother of the late Gawa!nas, Christine Gawa!nas who resides in Windhoek, has been left devastated after hearing the news of her 37-year-old daughter's death.
Gawa!nas moved to Swakopmund recently with her child to seek employment.
While mourning her daughter, Gawa!nas, who is also deaf and a pensioner, says she has no means to cover the costs of her daughter's burial.
"The people that you see here are all pensioners. If there is no water or electricity, how do I even make her coffee? This woman is hungry; she doesn't eat. I just want the public to know that this is the condition of the mother who has lost her child. Maybe the government can deploy a social worker to assist us. Till when will the killings go on? It is very sad. Look at the pain you see in someone who cannot speak. It hurts me deeply. We are not sleeping."
Family members say they already have a hard time to afford basic utilities, and don't know who to turn to during such trying times.
