The Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, says the final examination registration deadline will not be extended.

Seenkamp was responding to a question in the National Assembly by NUDO MP Vetaruhe Kandorozu, who raised concern that some learners are unable to register for their final exams.

He explained that institutions such as NAMCOL closed their tuition registration on 28 February, and many learners were unable to pay for exam registration by the original deadline of March 7.

Minister Steenkamp explained that the ministry had shared the registration dates early.

She explained that there were two separate deadlines – one for tuition registration and another for exam registration – and that learners were given extra time to register.
