The Chinese community in Beijing bid farewell to Namibia’s Ambassador to China, Elia Kaiyamo, who is leaving after nine years of service.
At a farewell banquet, Kaiyamo expressed gratitude to the people of China for the trust placed in him to represent Namibia.
During his tenure, he facilitated the export of Namibian beef and mutton to China, promoted investment in mining, strengthened people-to-people exchanges, and expanded study opportunities for Namibian students.
Appointed during the term of the late President Hage Geingob, Kaiyamo will conclude his term at the end of this month.
