Eight schools in the Aminuis Constituency received stationery and printing machines through the Omaheke Regional Council office.
According to Aminuis Constituency Councillor Peter Kazongominja, the donation will help smoothen the operations of the receiving schools.
"It is for this reason that, as your constituency councillor, I remain deeply committed to ensuring that the children of Aminuis have access to resources that can enhance both teaching and learning."
Education Director Constance Wantenaar stressed that the donation speaks to the commitment of the Council to contribute to the improvement of the education sector.
"Today's event is a reminder that education is not the responsibility of the ministry alone; it is a shared mission that calls for unity, collaboration and investment from all sectors of society. When community leaders such as the councillor stand up to contribute to the education, it sends a powerful message, dear councillor, of hope and partnership; it reminds us that progress is best achieved when we move together and are united in purpose."
The Head Boy of the Rietquelle High School, Motjari Mieze, encouraged his fellow learners to improve their academic performance and yield desired results as a show of gratitude for the support from stakeholders.
"Let us all appreciate the Aminuis constituency office for the brand new printing machines. To my fellow students, a wise man once said, 'The bright future belongs to those who prepare for it today.' This phrase simply implies hard work and great preparation for a successful future."
The constituency office also awarded 20 learners from Rietquelle High School in Aminus and Izak Buys High School in Leonardville with N$1,700 each.
