Keetmanshoop Rotary Club President Benedictus Diergaardt has urged the residents to embrace a spirit of service to help build a united community.

He made the call during a donation handover of mobility aids to the elderly and people with disabilities at Keetmanshoop.

The Keetmanshoop Rotary Club donation, consisting of walking frames, toilet stools, wheelchairs, and crutches, is intended to improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries.

"I hope this equipment will bring comfort; it will bring dignity and renew strength into your life. And this is our way of reminding you that Keetmanshoop is a community in which no one is left behind."

Beneficiaries say the donation came at a crucial time when many families face challenges in accessing mobility aids due to the high cost.

The National Disability Council commended the Rotary Club for its helping hand. Board member Desmond Tjipanga also pledged the council's collaboration with the Rotary Club on charitable initiatives.
