20 police officers from various stations across the Otjozondjupa Region were promoted for their commitment and hard work in the administration of law and order.
One officer was elevated to the senior inspector level, while three others were promoted to the inspector rank.
In addition, ten non-commissioned officers advanced to Warrant Officer Class One and Two, while six officers were promoted to Sergeant Class One.
The recognition marks a career milestone for the officers and reflects the ongoing commitment of the force to strengthen leadership within its ranks.
"These members that were promoted do not mean they are the only hard-working members. We all understand that not every member can be promoted simultaneously. We also know the challenges that when the budget does not allow it, it actually means that we all cannot move up, but this is not the end," said regional commander Commissioner Philip Hidengwa.
The promotions will also fill the gap left by several retirements.
