The stage was set for the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS), who have been crowned champions for the third consecutive year in the MTC Netball Namibia Premier League after defeating NAMPOL by 44 to 37 points.
All 12 clubs wrapped up the season at the same venue - Khomasdal Stadium in Katutura - where fans filled the stands, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere.
It was an electrifying conclusion to the 2025 MTC Netball Namibia Premier League, as supporters turned out in large numbers to witness the final showdown and to see which teams would remain in the league and which would be relegated to make way for new entrants next season.
This year, the dominant NCS team made sure the trophy stayed with them, overcoming a strong challenge from NAMPOL, who gave them a real run for their money.
In third place, UNAM Ogongo defeated Easter Chiefs by 37 to 26 points to secure the final podium position.
The closing ceremony, held at the stadium, saw both coaches expressing pride in their teams' performances and commitment throughout the season.
Coach Salomon of the victorious NCS team remarked, "We knew every team that we will play or facing and on they are gonna come for us they can take that for us. And we sort prepared for them my strategy or our strategy towards the oppoment weaknesses, we sort of got there obviously we got the win it if is a happy feeling is a huge relation for me in the camp and the girls, facing forward I think I don't see much to work on for next seaon, peerhaps few touche ups here and there. In sence i want to congratulate all the teams first of al I want to start with NAMPOL and all the teams in the league I think they give us a good competition."
Coach Mavellious reflected on NAMPOL's runner-up finish, stating, "It is a bitter pill to swallow, but I am very proud of my girlseach and everyone of them, I think they brought on their A game a little bit nervious as you have notice also and we lost focus on the fourth quarter. NCS been the champions their are experience and then they just capitalized on our own mistakes. We would prepararing towards the club Championship that include the SADC countries if it is going to happened we don't know yet where it is going to be we would praparing towards that."
The Namibian Correctional Service walked away with an impressive N$180,000 as champions, while runners-up NAMPOL received N$120,000.
In third place, UNAM Ogongo earned N$60,000, and the fourth-place team took home N$40,000.
