One person died, while two others were seriously injured in two separate accidents that occurred within minutes of each other on Windhoek’s Western Bypass early this morning.

The incidents occurred on the B1 road near Pioneers Park.

The first crash occurred at around 02H00AM when a truck transporting cattle overturned.

The driver, who was the sole occupant, was treated for injuries.

About 45 minutes later, a truck with a South African registration number overturned near the same spot.

The driver died in the crash, while his passenger was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police say investigations into both incidents continue.
