Miss Teen International 2026 1st Runner-up and Top Model Award Winner Chantel Boeren has returned home from India.

Chantel, her mother, Frieda Boeren, and the Miss Namibia team paid a courtesy visit to NBC's Senior Leadership Team.

NBC Director General Menesia Muinjo said the pageant's international success should not be seen as the end of the representative's journey but as an opportunity to build on her leadership potential and define her next role in empowering young Namibians.

“The question now is, what's next? We need to create a role that allows her to continue growing her talent and leadership, because she has shown that she still has a lot more to offer. Our responsibility now is to support her and help her continue that journey."

NBC's leadership says Boeren's win deserves celebration as a victory for the country.

"Having a representative from Africa place second on the global stage is our biggest achievement ever. As I said while we were communicating on WhatsApp, for me, she was already a winner," said Chief Commercial Officer Nico Mwiya.

"We are incredibly grateful for everything you have put into this journey—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Thank you to your mother for her unwavering support and to everyone who stood by you," added Acting Chief of Human Resources, Gerson Kamatuka.

Boeren commended Namibians for their support.

“Your support was my pillar of strength on the international stage. My goal was to make Namibia proud, bring home a title, inspire others, and achieve my dreams. Bringing home two titles makes me incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together.”
