Three suspects have been apprehended by the police in Otjiwarongo after allegedly robbing an American tourist couple at a local lodge in town.

Otjozondjupa Police Community Liaison Officer Maureen Mbeha said the suspects are between the ages of 24 and 33.

Senior Inspector Mbeha says the robbery took place at a lodge parking lot, where the suspects had followed and cornered the foreign couple aged 53 and 56 years old.

The suspects are expected to appear before the magistrate's court on Wednesday.
