Sister parties mainly from the SADC region called for the strengthening of the bond of friendship and cooperation among former liberation movements as they continue to serve the people.

The Communist Party wants the congress to be dedicated to the late Former Cuban Commander in Chief, Commandant Fidel Castro Ruz gave his immense contribution to Namibia and liberalisation of Southern African nations.

The former Soviet Union now the Russian Federation which also supported Namibia on its path to freedom, wants such a relationship to continue with emphasis on economic cooperation.

Other sister parties such as FRELIMO of Mozambique, the Botswana Democratic Party of Botswana, the united Socialist Party of Venezuela, the Polisario Front from Western Sahara, the Workers Party of Korea, and the Social Democratic Party of Germany also sent their messages of solidarity at the congress.
