The senior hockey men and women's teams are well set and ready for the 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup taking place from the 5th until the 12th of February in Pretoria, South Africa.
Deputy Minister of Sports, Youth and National Service, Emma Kantema- Gaomas handed over the flag to the National Hockey male and female captains.
Ahead of the 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup scheduled to take place next month in Pretoria, South Africa, participants have been hard at training as the competition will feature 12 men and 12 women national teams who will battle it out to hopefully be crowned the hockey world champions.
Minister of Sport, Youth and National Service, Emma Kantema- Gaomas shared a few words of motivation and support with the national teams.
Meanwhile senior men's  hockey captain David Strauss enlightened nbc sport on how preparations have been going. 
Senior women's hockey captain Magreth Mengo also spoke on the World Cup preparations and some unfortunate injuries the team overcame.
The national teams have stated that they are indeed ready to give it their all.
