A two-month-old baby girl died after her parents both grabbed her on each side and pulled her in opposite directions during an argument.

According to the Namibian Police report the incident occurred on Wednesday at Okahandja.  

 It is further alleged that the father wanted to leave with the baby after he found the baby alone at about 20H00. The mother however refused and an argument ensued.
 
The suspects, after the argument, decided to sleep and at around 04h00 when the mother wanted to breastfeed the baby that she discovered that she was not breathing. 

The baby was observed to have visible bruises on the body.

The baby has been identified as Monica Blessing Swartbooi. 

The suspects who are the biological parents have been arrested and will appear before the Okahandja Magistrates Court tomorrow on charges of murder.
