The Oranjemund Town Council has officially unveiled two new street names in Extension 4. One street has been named after the Leader of the Landless People's Movement (LPM), while the other honours the town of Omaruru.

'We can do it. Disability is not inability."

These were the words of Josef Sheema, a person with a disability who walked six kilometres from B1 City People's Mall Katutura to the National Museum of Namibia in support of people with disabilities. 

Residents of Kap N Bou and Blikkiesdorp have petitioned the Grootfontien Municipality to act hastily on addressing the lack of proper sanitation, water, and electricity, clean up filthy streets, as well as address the lack of fire brigade services at the settlements.

The Namibia Ports Authority (Namport) celebrated a major milestone—its 30th anniversary—highlighting its local and international achievements, as well as its significant contributions to the country's economic development and growth.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Peter Katjavivi, described his late wife, Jane, as a social justice advocate and a strong promoter of literature who dedicated her life to preserving Namibian heritage.
