The Windhoek Municipal Council has approved a five-year electrification plan aimed at addressing the backlog of 4,000 unelectrified erven in various informal settlements.

As Namibia's oil and gas sector gains momentum, there is a strong focus on developing the necessary skills for its success. 

Over 4,000 households in the Kunene and Ohangwena regions will receive drought relief aid for six months. 

This comes after the United Nations World Food Programme, with support from the Government of Japan, donated N$9 million towards the drought relief programme. 

The Ministries of Home Affairs of Namibia and Zambia have exchanged sentenced offenders who met the requirements to serve the remainder of their sentences in their home countries.

Walvis Bay residents are mobilising themselves to legally fight the municipality over the Red Force contract.

The Red Force debt collection contract was reinstated last week after the matter between the Walvis Bay municipality and the debt collectors was settled in the High Court last week.
