Former Miss Universe Michelle McLean-Bailey has extended Africa Day wishes to Namibians, dedicating the special occasion to Namibia’s first female President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, whom she describes as her inspiration.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says Africa Day reminds citizens of the continent’s heroes and heroines, such as Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere, Sam Nujoma, and many others who founded the Organisation of African Unity in 1963, which later transformed into the African Union.
Residents of Okatseidhi Village in the Omusati Region celebrated the appointment of Dr. Elijah Ngurare as Prime Minister at a special ceremony.
Dr. Ngurare is a resident of Okatseidhi.
Close to a hundred senior citizens at Keetmanshoop in the ||Kharas Region were treated to a meal in celebration of Africa Day.
