The Swapo Party has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to reinstate Cuba on the list of "state sponsors of terrorism".

The National Assembly has condemned the US decision to re-designate Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism.

It described the move as unjust and counterproductive; it threatens to undermine years of diplomatic progress and international efforts to foster peace and collaboration.

Cuba has labelled the decision by the new US President, Donald Trump, to redesignate it on the State Sponsors of Terrorism list as a political move and an attack without cause.

Trump was just sworn in as the US' 47th president yesterday (Mon) and made several executive orders.

It is also where national hero José Martí is buried.
