A goat rotation project in Mpezo village in the Kavango West Region has transformed the lives of four beneficiaries, who now own livestock and skills they never imagined they would have.

In 2023, Johana Kazana and Elisabeth Likiwa received 10 goats from the regional council under a rotation agreement. 

EIF DONATES LIVESTOCK FEED TO ZAMBEZI FARMERS

The Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) has donated livestock feed to farmers in the Zambezi Region.

The N$500,000 worth of animal feed will support livestock farmers who were previously affected by floods, which led to the loss of animals in the floodplain constituencies of the region.

The region has a satellite centre at Mpungu, which has been operating since 2018, apart from Nkurenkuru.

RISING POPULATION PUTS PRESSURE ON NEU SAMAROU WATER SUPPLY

The increasing demand for water is straining the two boreholes in the Neu Samarou Settlement, located in the Kombat area of the Otjozondjupa Region, as the population has surged to approximately 2,000 residents.
