The new Katima Mulilo Magistrate's Court has been built with security features to protect children and adults who may find the court environment intimidating.

A 34-year-old man, Erick Mutanale appeared in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and defeating the course of justice.

According to the charge sheet, Mutanale allegedly tied the deceased with a wire, dragged him about 30 meters away from his house and buried him in a shallow grave.

A Namibian and Zambian national appeared in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate's Court on charges of being in possession of elephant tusks.
