A former farm employee at Talana No. 199 in the Okorukambe Constituency in the Omaheke Region is now residing in the corridor along the road after cutting ties with his former employer late last year.

The chairperson of the Ozombahe Farmers Cooperative at Omitara in the Okorukambe Constituency, Willem Haoseb, is pleased with the progress made in terms of poverty alleviation and job creation for local people. 

Ozombaze Farmers' Cooperative donated food items to Omitara's Otjivero Combined School in the Omaheke Region.

The Chairperson of the Cooperative, Willem Haoseb, indicated that if all goes according to plan, they will extend assistance to community members in the Omitara settlement. 

The Operative Secretary of the Landless People's Movement (LPM), Dawid Eigub, says there is a need for the party to connect with all its members and establish the developmental challenges they face.

Eigub made the remark after an engagement with the community of Witvlei in the Okorukambe constituency.

Some community members at Epukiro RC in the Okorukambe Constituency are requesting the former community council chairperson, Reinhard Morwe, and his team to hand over all documents, livestock branding equipment, and a financial report to the community, amongst others. 

Okorukambe Constituency Councillor Rocco Nguvauva has called for the improvement of the monthly allowances of traditional authorities for them to function optimally.

Crop farmers are making sure they keep themselves up-to-date with information to enhance the agricultural industry, considered key to food security.

A group of commercial and communal farmers met at Farm Okounduve in the Okorukambe Constituency of the Omaheke Region, over the weekend.
