The Ondonga Traditional Authority says it will work closely with the government and relevant law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice is pursued and that effective measures are put in place to protect all Community Court Justices and Traditional Leaders.

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) has condemned the shooting at a community court session in Iikokola village, Ondonga Traditional Authority, where one traditional leader was killed and another injured. 

The Ondonga Traditional Authority, through Omukwaniilwa Fillemon Nangolo Shuumbwa, has condemned the shooting incident that occurred at Iikokola village earlier today during a duly constituted dispute resolution session of the traditional community court.

As the date draws closer for the much-anticipated Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia event at Ongwediva, the top ten finalists were exposed to various ancient traditional norms and practices of the AaWambo culture and traditions, as well as taking time off to relax.

The Ondonga Traditional Authority will drill boreholes in villages of the Ohangwena Region that border with Oshikoto to address water scarcity.

President Nangolo Mbumba says the annual Omagongo Festival, which is hosted on a rotational basis by the eight Aawambo traditional authorities, remains an enabler for communities to gather and share history, traditions, and practices. 

Ondonga Traditional Authority (OTA) chairperson, John Walenga, led a group of 150 participants, ranging from nine to over 70 years old, in a salt collection initiation process over the weekend.

Finland has returned the extracted stone fragments of the Ondonga people to the Namibian government.

The handover was done at State House, witnessed by President Hage Geingob and his counterpart, Sauli Niinisto of Finland.
