The Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) has vowed to disrupt the upcoming National Assembly and Presidential elections if the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) does not heed its demands concerning a contentious tender awarded to the South African company Ren-Form for printing and distributing ballot papers.

The Electoral Commissions Forum of SADC countries (ECF-SADC) says the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) appears to be ready to conduct the 2024 elections. 

This was contained in a report issued following ECF-SADC's PreElection Assessment Mission to Namibia from the 16th to 20th of this month.

High Court Judges to deliver judgment on NEFF vs ECN deregistration case

The High Court Judges Hosea Angula, Beatrix Jagger, and Thomas Masuku will deliver judgement on the matter in which the Namibian Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) have taken the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) to court after the ECN deregistered NEFF as a political party within seven working days.

ECN registers over one million voters

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has surpassed the one million mark in voter registration.

Those who have not registered yet only have nine days to register, and the date will not be extended.

The general voter registration, which started on the 3rd of June, ends next week Thursday.
