Children under the age of 10 from the Kavango East and West regions are being vaccinated against polio.  

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare reminded the investors that health is a human right and not a luxury commodity. 

Dr Ngurare, who was speaking at the inauguration of a private health facility, Kaisosi Medical Services, urged staff to structure their services in a manner that caters to everyone in Rundu. 

The NamPower Foundation constructed and handed over a classroom at Didimika Private School in Rundu's Kehemu area.

Didimika Private School, like many other schools in the Kavango East Region, also struggles with overcrowded classrooms. 

Independent candidates managed to scoop three constituencies in the Kavango regions during the recently concluded Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections. 

There has been a rise in the number of independent candidates in the country. 

First official results, announced by the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) Chairperson, Dr. Elsie Nghikembua, showed that Independent Candidate Paulus Mbangu retained his seat as Rundu Rural Constituency Councillor for a second term. 

Minister of Urban and Rural Development James Sankwasa has rejected the Rundu Town Council’s decision to extend the CEO, Olavi Nathanael’s contract for another five years. 

Independent candidate Paulus Mbango cites stimulating the local economy, community upliftment and access to resources as some of his priority areas. 

During a rally at Mayana Village, Kavango East, Mbangu said he has made notable changes in the past five years. 

Residents of Oerwoud Resettlement Farm in Guinas Constituency, Oshikoto Region, are grateful for the education centre and the health outreach point set up there, but they continue to be challenged by a lack of water, electricity, and land for farming.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, is asking for social grant beneficiaries to remain patient while NamPost is processing their payments. 

The minister visited the Nampost branch at Divundu, Kavango East. 

Residents of Divundu and surrounding areas in the Kavango East Region will now be able to access mobile communication services after MTC opened a mobile home in the town. 

Before the introduction of the new mobile home, locals had to travel 200 kilometres to the nearest facility in Rundu.
