Agribank has supported two horticulture projects from the Kavango East and West regions with agricultural materials.

Acting Agribank Branch Manager Dusken Mungalisa said, “This handover reflects Agribank's ongoing commitment to supporting emerging farmers, women, and youth in agriculture. The bank recognises that agriculture remains a key driver of economic growth, employment creation, and poverty reduction, especially in rural communities.

“By investing in these small-scale horticulture projects, Agribank is not only supporting food production but also empowering communities to become more self-reliant in economic activities.”

Kavango East Governor Hamunyera Hambyuka emphasised, “Agriculture remains central to the development of our region and country at large. By investing in local farmers and community-based agricultural projects, we are investing in self-reliance, job creation, nutrition, and economic empowerment. I therefore encourage the beneficiaries to make good use of the support received today and to continue working hard to ensure sustainability and growth of their projects.”

Small-scale farmer Sebastian Mukoya said, “Small-scale farming is assisting us with feeding our families and sending our children to school. Thank you to Agribank for assisting us.”
