A Catholic nun from the Benedictine Sisters of Oshikuku decided to spread some festive season cheer to the elderly at Utokota village in Shambyu, Kavango East Region.

Some Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) clients waiting in line at the mobile home in Rundu are adamant about finishing the registration process, despite the announced extension.

A veteran of the Liberation Struggle, Mandema passed away in Windhoek last month at the age of 77, receiving the honor of a state funeral bestowed by President Hage Geingob.

Mourners described the late Gosbert Sikerete Mandema as a gallant and tenacious son of the soil who was willing to do anything for his country.

The former mayor of Rundu was remembered at a state memorial service in Rundu today.
