The Women's Action for Development (WAD) conducted a five-day' workshop on gender-based violence (GBV) for male police officers.

The workshop, which was held at Rundu, was attended by members of the force from all the country's 14 regions.

They say the bad roads are limiting their day-to-day activities and negatively affecting their businesses.

Havo Village in Kavango East experiences water shortage

Residents of Havo Village in the Kavango East Region's Mukwe Constituency have been facing a water crisis since late last year. The situation is affecting both humans and livestock.

The only borehole in the village cannot cater for both humans and livestock, and as a result, animals have started to die.

More school infrastructure development needed in Kavango East Region

The Kavango East Region still calls for school infrastructure development despite progress recorded to improve teaching and learning. 

This was brought to light by the Governor of Kavango East, Bonifatius Wakudumo, during the State of the Region Address at Rundu.
