Old Mutual has donated wheelchairs, ramps, and toys to the Omake Charity Organisation, bringing hope to people with disabilities who often struggle to afford essential mobility support.

The education community, accompanied by the Governor of the Otjozondjupa Region, visited Tsaraxa-Aibes Primary School in Otjiwarongo to mourn with learners and staff following the deaths of three teachers in a car crash last week.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform has carried out a regional awareness campaign on the foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) at Khorixas in the Kunene Region.

Speaking at the Independence Celebration at Otjiwarongo on Saturday, former Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Peter Katjavivi, commended the government for setting up a task force to address the FMD challenge.

Urban and Rural Development Minister James Sankwasa has warned residents against selling plots allocated to them for free by the government. 

Sankwasa addressed the community of Orwetoveni's extensions 16 and 17 at Otjiwarongo.

Tensions are rising at Meyerton Farm in the Kunene Region, where members of the ǂHaub San community say they have been unfairly relocated from their homes to a smaller unit on the farm. 

They took to the streets to protest the government's decision. 

Fifteen Kunene residents were trained in beekeeping, where they were introduced to modern beekeeping practices and techniques for sustainable honey production.

Labour inspectors from across Namibia are meeting at Otjiwarongo for a weeklong refresher training workshop. Minister of Justice and Labour Relations, Wise Immanuel reminded inspectors of their role in enforcing the Labour Law.

In an effort to improve teaching and learning, Karaku Marine has donated teaching and learning support materials to Outjo Project Primary School.

The equipment will provide learners with sufficient study resources and promote discipline and structure within the school.

Communities across the Otjozondjupa Region joined the rest of the world in celebrating International Mother Language Day.
