The Ministry of Urban and Rural Development (MURD) has warned the public about a fake tender circulating on social media, falsely claiming government involvement in a large-scale construction project.

After 17 years of closure, the Reho Spa resort, once the pride of Rehoboth, will finally reopen its gates to residents and visitors.

The recreational site is expected to reopen to the public early this year. 

The Oshikuku Town Council was allocated N$5.7 million by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development (MURD) to expand their sewerage pond, fence it off, and put up an embankment to prevent the overflow of sewerage in the current financial year.

The tender for the project was awarded to Kambwa Trading.

As part of its efforts to provide electricity in informal settlements, the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development, in conjunction with the City of Windhoek, held a groundbreaking ceremony for high mast lights in Havana.

The Swakopmund Municipality has signed an agreement with the National Housing Enterprise (NHE) for housing provision.
