The late Founding President and Father of the Namibian nation, Dr. Sam Nujoma, leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and service to the people.

Former Mafwe Litunga Richard Mamili V has died aged 92.

The death of Litunga Mamili, who died in Rundu Hospital, was announced by the Mafwe Traditional Authority.

His death coincided with the Lusata annual cultural festival, which he founded 43 years ago. 

"There was nothing that could have prepared me for the sudden loss of my dear brother and beloved President of the Namibian people, H.E. Dr. Hage G. Geingob."
