Namibian Broadcasting Cooperation's (NBC) Director General Menesia Muinjo described the late Lamech Mwanyangapo as someone who was dedicated and worked hard whether in the country or abroad.

She says Mwanyangapo believed in teamwork and never shielded away from assisting his fellow colleagues.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is mourning the loss of veteran employee Lamech Mwanyangapo, who died in a Windhoek hospital this morning following a battle with cancer.

He died aged 61.

"My name is Lamech Mwanyangapo, and I am a camera operator."

MPs in the National Council stated that improving road infrastructure will not solve the road crisis issue if road users do not change their behaviour.

The National Council has passed the Mental Health Bill, replacing the Mental Health Act of 1973, which has been criticised as outdated.

The Bill aims to protect the dignity of mental health patients and strengthen community-based mental health services, as well as establish a mental health review board.

The Councillor of Daweb Constituency, Herculus Jantze, says one cannot speak about regional development without addressing the future of young people.

Jantze, who presented the report of the ||Kharas Regional Council for the 2025/2026 financial year, urged the Council to prioritise youth empowerment.

Members of Parliament (MPs) in the National Council have bemoaned the severe water shortages in the northern regions, arguing that such supply crises should no longer exist after 35 years of independence.
