The Ministry of International Relations and Trade (MIRT) has reiterated its resolve to strengthen economic diplomacy and ensure small and medium enterprises' access to external markets.

Various members of Parliament in the National Assembly have raised a number of issues during the discussion of the Ministry of International Relations and Trade vote of a N$1.37 billion budget.

The Minister of International Relations and Trade said the report of Rapid Assessment on Value Addition and Diversification is the realisation of the eighth administration.

Selma Ashipala-Musavyi affirmed that the recommendations offer a foundation for informed decisions.

The Ministry of International Relations and Trade says the government is actively working to assist Namibian nationals who are trapped in fraud and exploitation networks in Myanmar and Thailand.

The Namibian government has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the business fraternity to address challenges that hinder trade and investment growth. 

Namibia will officially launch trading under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) at a high-level event scheduled for Monday, 30 June 2025, in Walvis Bay.
