The Windhoek-Okahandja dual carriageway has been re-classified and upgraded from B1 to A1 road as per the road classification standards.

President Nangolo Mbumba inaugurated the dual carriageway, the only A-rated road in Namibia, at the Gross Barmen Interchange.
