Otavi residents start backyard gardens to fight malnutrition

Following the deaths of two children out of 12 diagnosed with malnutrition in Otavi earlier this year, the town's mayor, Isaac !Hoaeb, together with the Namibia Housing Action Group, started training residents of the Kap-en-Bou housing project on gardening and nutritional values.

NamWater upgrades Kuiseb Collector pipeline

NamWater has started with Phase 3 of its upgrade of the Kuiseb Collector pipeline near Walvis Bay.

The renovations are expected to be completed by next year to ensure a reliable and integrated water supply at the coast. 

Construction of 40 houses starts at Amunius

After years of delay due to limited funds, 40 houses will be constructed at Aminuis in the Omaheke Region under the Build Together Project.

The construction of the houses, under the auspices of the Omaheke Regional Council, is expected to be completed before the end of this year. 

28,000 people register for national documents since campaign launch

28,000 people have so far registered for national documents since the launch of the Mass Registration for National Documents campaign in February.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security is conducting the mass registration outreach programme across all 14 regions of Namibia.

Road accident claims lives between Windhoek & Rehoboth

The community of Rehoboth is in mourning following the deaths of the chairperson of the Reho Falcon Sports Club, Etienne Coetzee, his two sons, and one other person in a road crash on Saturday evening.

The accident was confirmed by Hardap Police Deputy Commissioner Gesina Nell.
