Ministry of Education announces school holidays on 25 and 27 November

The Ministry of Education has declared 25 and 27 November as school holidays, following guidance from the Office of the Prime Minister. 

According to the Ministry, all hostels will remain open on 25 November and throughout the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections scheduled for 27 November.

According to the 2024 National End-of-Phase Grade 3 Assessment, only 32% of learners achieve the minimum numeracy benchmark of 40%. 

To strengthen numeracy skills among junior primary learners, the Education Directorate in the Khomas Region hosted a Junior Primary Math Olympiad Competition in Windhoek.
