Cross-border livestock theft appears to be on the rise in the Kavango East Region.

The police received 32 cattle that were recovered in Angola at Ndiyona. 

The National Heritage Council of Namibia (NHCN) has called on residents of the Kavango East Region to nominate sites of heritage significance. 

Even though the region is rich in various cultures and traditions, there are no officially registered heritage sites in the region. 

Namibia's water utility, NamWater, has donated essential stationery to at least 15 schools in the Kavango East Region.
