Windhoek Mayor urges residents to stop stealing newly planted trees

City of Windhoek's mayor, Queen Kamati, urged residents to refrain from stealing trees that are being planted in various parts of the city.

Kamati made this call as the City of Windhoek joined the world in commemorating Arbor Day, with 128  trees being planted to foster a green city.

Christmas treat for the elders

More than 1,500 senior citizens were treated to a Christmas lunch and received shopping vouchers to get them through the festive season by Walvis Bay Mayor Trevino Forbes.
