Young Brazilians have been promoted to the Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL) after spending just one season in the Southern Stream First Division.

The Namibia Premier Football League season ended this past weekend with African Stars confirmed as champions after a strong finish on the final day as Tigers, Life Fighters, and Rundu Chiefs are relegated.

The 30-match season ended with African Stars securing their fourth straight title in as many years.

The Namibia Premier League encounter between Orlando Pirates and Life Fighters, originally postponed due to electricity challenges at the Independence Stadium, have now been rescheduled.

The long wait for the return of top-flight league football in the country is over, after the Namibia Football Association's Normalisation Committee announced the opening fixtures of the Namibia Premier Football League on Wednesday.
